Injury To Johns Shoulder – Updates

After further a diagnosis it would seem that Johns problem all lies in a trapped nerve between the C5 & C6. This has led to a new medication called Gabapentin which John now swears by as he has full mobility again. The diagnosis should be confirmed on Wednesday 12th June with an MRI scan.

On the road to recovery! and yes it has been a long time! The NHS has now got involved, as well as his private specialist Physiotherapist. John is playing again as of April with an eye on a series of upcoming concerts and gigs in the next few months. He has also been fit enough to resume building on the new studio (please see other posts).

Whilst still in a fair amount of discomfort John will be appearing at his February gigs. The pain has now almost completely gone although he is still experiencing a good amount of “pins & needles” in his left arm. Currently, his physiotherapist is hoping for a full recovery by the end of the month!

As of January 7th following a visit to a specialist Physiotherapist the diagnosis has been changed to referred pain from a spinal injury and John is now expected to be unable to work until the end of January.

Unfortunately, John has mysteriously injured his left shoulder and under the advice of his doctor had to cancel all his gigs over the next couple of weeks. After a diagnosis of tendonitis, it has been advised complete rest is the best route to a speedy recovery.
